
Julie Entwistle has a degree in Health Studies and Gerontology from the University of Waterloo, and a degree in Health Science in Occupational Therapy from McMaster University. She is a member in good standing of the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO), the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists (OSOT) and has been practicing Occupational Therapy in Ontario's Auto Insurance Industry for the last ten years.

Along with clinical experience, she has also worked in management roles assisting in the recruiting, training, and mentoring of other therapists entering and working in this field. Julie remains involved with McMaster University as both a tutor, guest lecturer, and clinical preceptor for the occupational therapy program.
Julie's main area of clinical practice includes working with people who have sustained a spinal cord injury, severe orthopaedic trauma or amputations, brain injury, or who have a psychological impairment. Julie also has interest and experience in home modifications and in accessible housing.
In addition to Occupational Therapy Training, Julie has also attended several conferences and workshops on disability or industry specific topics and is qualified to administer the Progressive Goal Attainment Program and the Analysis of Motor and Process Skills. Prior to working as an occupational therapist, Julie spent time volunteering in senior day programs, with developmentally and learning delayed children, and helped in disabled water skiing and downhill skiing programs. Julie also has several years of business training as a former manager for Scotiabank. Julie continues to volunteer her time as a guest lecturer, community educator, and in the Hamilton Wentworth School Board. Julie lives in the Hamilton area with her husband and children, practices martial arts, and enjoys golf, volleyball and travel.
